Artist statement
This collection of works is an expression of Sara”s experience of emotional abuse. As she learned about and processed what she went through she struggled to find a way to let it pass through her. These pieces tell her story in a way that words can”t. The physical space they occupy leaves little room for the reality of Sara”s experience to be questioned. Emotional abuse is often invisible in plain sight. Sara hopes that these pieces will now serve to bring awareness.
