Bloom Into Art – Show Now Open!
The 2024 Bloom into Art Member Exhibit is now open and will run April 20-May 24 at the Thomasville Public Library. Join us for our opening party on April 27 at 1 pm. This year we are including a People’s Choice Award! Invite your friends, family, and fans to vote for your art work the week of April 20-26!
Prizes: First Place $1,000 Second Place $250 Third Place $75 People’s Choice Award $750
The first week of the show, we will encourage the public to attend the exhibit and vote for a People’s Choice award to be presented at our opening party on Saturday, April 27 at 1p. We encourage all members to make it a day in town and attend the Rose Show festivities before making their way to celebrate our members’ talents!
Reminder to participating artists:
Drop off for artwork is April 17, 12-2p or April 18, 1-3:30p at the Thomas County Public Library at 201 N Madison Street, Thomasville. All unsold art must be picked up from the Library on May 28 or 29 from 11:15 – 1:15 PM. Hand-Built Clay Workshop

This workshop is for anyone interested in learning the basics of hand built pottery. This two-day workshop is designed to be beginner friendly, but it could also serve as a refresher for anyone who has experience with clay and wants to get back into pottery.
On day one, participants will use stoneware to create two pieces of art; a wall planter and a vase to use for flowers or as a plant propagation vessel. The instructor will present a number of examples of each piece, and participants can work to replicate the designs or come up with any design they choose. On day two, participants will decorate their creations using various underglazes and will also have various options in regards to surface design techniques.
All materials are provided by the instructor, and the pottery will be fired and available for pick-up approximately two weeks after the workshop.

Step into a realm of artistic expression with Pines & Palms! Every Tuesday from 10:30 to 12:30, we invite you to join our open studio session. It’s a laid-back, friendly, and supportive gathering of artists where creativity knows no bounds. Bring your art supplies, and prepare for two hours of artistic enjoyment with a group of fellow artists who share your passion. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned professional, everyone is welcome.
We kindly ask for a $10 donation to support our studio. You can find us on the Vashti campus in the largest white building with columns. Just follow the signs to the back entrance, and you’ll be right where you belong. Our address is 1815 E. Clay St. Come, relax, and let your inner artist shine!
