This workshop is for anyone interested in learning the basics of hand built pottery. This two-day workshop is designed to be beginner friendly, but it could also serve as a refresher for anyone who has experience with clay and wants to get back into pottery.

On day one, participants will use stoneware to create two pieces of art; a wall planter and a vase to use for flowers or as a plant propagation vessel. The instructor will present a number of examples of each piece, and participants can work to replicate the designs or come up with any design they choose. On day two, participants will decorate their creations using various underglazes and will also have various options in regards to surface design techniques.

All materials are provided by the instructor, and the pottery will be fired and available for pick-up approximately two weeks after the workshop.
