Beginners to Advanced Pastel Painters

Join Orit Reuben for a two-day plein air pastel workshop. Paint outdoors in a beautiful location while learning pastel painting techniques and a step-by-step plein air painting process.
In this one-day workshop, we will explore distilling the outdoor landscape into a pleasing composition, deciphering values, and color temperatures, modeling the form, and edges, and dealing with depth and atmosphere. We will learn how to use pastels correctly to achieve pleasing strokes and create beautiful and harmonious colors. We will also learn how to successfully depict light and shadow areas, and achieve luminosity in our paintings. Orit will demonstrate in the mornings, and students will paint in the afternoon with individual critiques.
