Come paint with me and get ready to paint at the High Cotton event.  I will paint a short demo in watercolor and give individual help the rest of the afternoon en plein air, inside Vasti if weather is cooperating and we’ll pretend to be outside.  I talk about drawing help, selecting subject  matter and the 5 “P’s” of watercolor painting to add to your confidence painting on location. I paint loose and upright.  Let’s get started off on the right foot.

Materials:

Bring your materials for the event. You can email me at maryo@maryosmith.com for my specific list but bring what you have.  I use 140 lb Arches paper.  Bring a camp stool to sit as you watch the demo. You might want to take notes, outdoor easel, brushes, paint, water container, whatever makes you comfortable.
