Putting Buildings in Your Landscape

Joe will cover basic compositions, the basics of placement of buildings as a focal point in your painting, cover basic perspective to provide you with a good refresher in how to make a composition work then give a short painting demo. Joe can cover a lot of canvas in 45 minutes, thus leaving you plenty of time to get a good start on a painting.

Mary has noticed a real need for watercolor artists to practice color mixing and layering techniques. In this workshop, Orit will show students how to simplify the plein air painting process in pastel. You will learn how to decipher the landscape scene in front of you into a simplified composition. The workshop will focus on understanding the pastel medium, along with values, color temperature and the principles of landscape painting.
